Welcome back to St Helens Martial Arts! 🥋 We hope you had an amazing Christmas and New Year and are ready to kickstart 2025 with us. This year is set to be filled with new challenges, exciting classes, and opportunities to progress. Classes are resuming, and it’s time to set your goals—whether it’s grading for your next belt, improving techniques, or building strength and confidence. Grading time is here at St Helens Martial Arts, and we are excited to reward our students for their hard work and dedication! If your child has been attending classes for over eight weeks, they may receive an invitation to grade, subject to their instructor’s approval. Grading sessions will take place between October 19th and November 23rd, with exact dates depending on belt level. Please check your emails for individual invites. Tags are an important part of progression, so even if a full belt isn’t achieved, every step forward should be celebrated! For extra support, additional classes and 1:1 sessions with Sensei Daz or Sensei Logan are available. If you have any questions or believe your child was missed, please reach out. We are incredibly proud of our students and look forward to seeing them progress! 🥋🎉

St Helens Martial Arts is excited to take part in the annual Rainhill Scarecrow Festival! This fun community event showcases creative scarecrow displays throughout the village, and we’ve crafted a martial arts-themed scarecrow to join the competition.

We invite everyone to explore the amazing entries and vote for their favorite scarecrow—we’d love your support! The festival is a fantastic way to bring the community together, so grab your friends and family, enjoy the displays, and cast your vote.

This new site allows us to bring our top-notch martial arts training to a broader community, offering the same high-quality classes in a convenient and vibrant setting. Our passionate instructors are dedicated to helping you achieve your personal best, whether you're a seasoned martial artist or just starting your journey.

We are thrilled to launch our new martial arts class, Atemi BUKI, at St Helens Martial Arts. This innovative class focuses on the art of weapon work, teaching students how to handle various weapons such as swords, nunchucks, sticks, and knife defenses. Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced martial artist, Atemi BUKI offers valuable skills and training for everyone aged 11 and up. Join us to enhance your martial arts repertoire and improve your self-defense capabilities

Over the next couple of weeks, student assessments will be conducted during class times, with senseis nominating candidates for grading. Invitations with full details will be emailed to selected students. Newer students, particularly those who have been with us less than 8 weeks, might not be graded this time but are expected to be ready for the next session. The initial grading schedule is set but may change depending on the number of nominees. Dates range from April 20th to May 5th, covering various groups and belt levels. The post also clarifies that tags are considered grades too, helping students see their progression without waiting too long for a full belt upgrade.
